What Happened To Kelly From Barbie

"Accepting life is to defeat selfishness"

Gianni Archetti, President of the Association of Large Families Catholic, says the joy of his eight paternity.

In a society dominated by consumerism and the cult of the "all at once," a family with many children is a testament that inspires awe and - sometimes - disapproval.
Nowadays, the large family seems to be "rich stuff". Children consume household resources in proportion to their numbers, and a son in more than a vacation can mean less, or the need to move clothing from largest to smallest, which is not appreciated by all.
short, more a resource, the large family is seen as a threat to the welfare of their relatives. Not so for John Bows (photo), founder and president of Large Families Catholic, Cristina's husband and father of five children, "and three in heaven," as he likes to point out rush, pushing the number to the incredible altitude of eight children !
Bows strongly wanted to create this association in charge of giving a voice and represent the needs and the message that Catholic families want to make to society and institutions.
But who are these families? Spouses who are inspired by the social teaching of the Catholic Church live their family identity trying to accomplish, throughout history the original blessing of the Creator, transmitting by procreation the divine image from person to person ( Familiaris Consortium , No. 28, paragraph 2). Associated State, there are as essential principles, the unequivocal affirmation of its Christian roots and identity, the affirmation of Catholic faith and their values as the only benchmark of their work, obedience and unconditional support to the Magisterium the Church and the Holy Father.
The Association also plans to certify the family as the only place to meet physical and spiritual gender (male and female), stressing the importance of complementarity, conceived also as a family favorite place to teach the faith and values related to their children.

To learn more about Large Families Catholic and the reasons for their enthusiasm, optimism interviewed its president.

What is it that gives confidence and hope to these families in particular, so as to be effectively "open to life"?
The experience of the love of God, who is unable to open our heart to the life he has given.

What do you do spokesman?
Large families are good news in itself: to accept life's good news for everyone. In fact, the accepted life in all its aspects, defeats death, and death means the number of selfishness, hopelessness, pessimism without alternatives. We are called to be this good news in a society that now chasing chimeras such as euthanasia, abortion, divorce, confusing life with death. I am reminded of the example of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla who, giving his life, has not forgotten "the fruit of her womb", witnessing the love of God does not abandon anyone. This is Christian marriage, this is the Christian love that never leaves, even at the cost of their lives, and is forever, because God is forever.

What should they do more, the institutions?
should be more careful and take action, because the children of families have equal access to vocational training, culture, in order to contribute to social development, with their wealth of experience, sharing, support and gained mutual support within their own family.

Recently, you had a meeting with MEP Magdi Cristiano Allam, founder of his movement, "I love Italy." How did this friendship?
FNC We have made ours the desire of the President of the CEI card. Angelo Bagnasco, greater participation of Catholics in politics. Magdi Christian Allam, through its movement, defends and promotes an uncritical values of life and family, along with the Catholic Church and the Holy Father. This goes to fill the void immediately in the absence Catholics from the political. This friendship is the true demonstration of how Catholicism fosters between people of good will, the defense of life, and more clearly the integration of peoples, political and social commitment.

Finally, you give us a quick glimpse of your everyday family life?
In the morning the alarm rings at 6 o'clock. I have my five children aged between 7 and 21 years. The first emergency occurs at this time: we only have one bathroom! But that evening, at the table, there is a special moment when I can listen to the various accounts of the day. Educating children is the most challenging task, but that there is more fulfilling. There are certainly discussions and quarrels, but when you need a hand, everyone is ready to help each other. I believe that, in practice, say "family" is to say that.
