Certainly, the situation of obstetrics in Italy is not the best, there is still excessive and not always justified rate of caesarean section, a great event medicalization of birth: pregnancy sometimes is treated like a disease! All this creates anxiety and concern, we should get back to basics to remind us of our ability to women.
And now a message to young people who want to pursue this wonderful profession ... what should I do?
To become a midwife is needed of high school diploma and then pass the exam to enroll in a limited number of Degree Course in Obstetrics, which lasts three years and consists of both theoretical and practical training hard, and once they complete their studies should participate in public tenders or notices enter the hospital or area, without forgetting that the midwife is a professional stand-alone and can also be carried out in private practice.
